Our moisture absorbing desiccant packets are a must for any person storing small, medium, or large amounts of grains, beans, etc. The silica gel desiccant provides superior absorption and will remove the residual moisture. A real must for home document and cash safes, ammo & weapon storage, gun safe, etc. Approved by FDA for food and drug products.
Silica Gel packaged in Tyvek meets FDA requirements and is the industry standard used in dry food packaging. When used in closed places (where mold, mildew & fungus live and breed) silica gel whisks away moisture to create a protective environment of dry air. It prevents all forms of rust, corrosion, oxidation, mildew, fungus, mold, fogging, etc. Silica Gel is used to prevent tarnish on gold and silver, in your tool box to protect your precious tools from rusting, or drop some in your camera bag to protect your camera and equipment. It even protects expensive leather items like jackets, shoes, and boots. Also great for tackle boxes, photo albums, computer media storage, gun cases, ammo boxes, coin collections, camping gear, backpacks, campers, electronics, etc.

Silica Gel Desiccant Facts
What Is Desiccant? A desiccant is a substance that removes moisture from the surrounding air. When sealed in an air-tight container, such as a waterproof case, a desiccant will produce a low humidity environment within the case.
What Is Silica Gel?
Silica gel is a granular form of silica that has the ability to absorb moisture. It is the most commonly used desiccant for protecting manufactured products. It is usually packaged in small permeable packets for convenient use as a desiccant.
How to Use Silica Gel Packets?
Place your item into a sealable container and insert the silica desiccant packet(s). Seal immediately. The silica gel will remove moisture from air within the container.
How to Store Silica Gel Desiccant Packs?
Unused desiccant packs should be stored in an air-tight container. To preserve their effectiveness they should be kept in the container until immediately before use.
How Many Desiccant Packs Should I Use? One packet is usually adequate.
How Long Do the Desiccant Packets Last? For best results replace the desiccant packets often or if they are exposed to air for an extended time. Between uses seal empty container with your desiccant packet inside. That will preserve the desiccant for future use.
